Wassily Kandinsky, Kleine Welten I (1922)
Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944) was a Russian painter and art theorist, widely considered a pioneer of abstract art. Born in Moscow, Kandinsky initially studied law and economics before turning to art in his thirties. He was profoundly influenced by music, believing that art, like music, could evoke emotions without representing the material world. Kandinsky's work evolved from figurative to purely abstract forms, characterized by bold colors, dynamic compositions, and expressive shapes.
